Over the New Year’s holiday the Mr. and I traveled to Orlando to spend time with family and friends at Walt Disney World. We decided to drive down Thursday morning and head back Tuesday. It was just the trip we needed to ring in the new year. Disney is one of our favorite places and being able to be there with the people we care about most was everything special.
It’s safe to say we had the best time, ate all the things, walked tons of miles, shared lots of belly laughs and rode all the attractions.
I know there are a lot of Disney treats here, but we were there for multiple days. If you’ve even been to Walt Disney World, then you already know how delicious the treats are. I discovered lots of new favorites like this grapefruit margarita that had all sorts of yummy stuff like elderflower and cardamon. Yum!
We spent a lot of time at Animal Kingdom in the newest area of the park, Pandora. After lots of time spent in line we rode the Journey of Flight ride. It was magical! I can’t say enough good things about it.
The weather ended up being so blustery and cold on New Year’s Day, but we made the most of it. I was so happy to finally get to spend time at the Magic Kingdom. There weren’t many people at the parks so we took that opportunity to ride everything without having to wait in too many lines. I may have had five layers of clothes on, but we still had the best time.
I love Cinderella’s Castle year round, but it was extra magical during our visit.
How did you ring in the New Year?
