Hi ya’ll! I will be announcing my full race calendar soon so stay tuned for that. Today I am going to just recap my training from last week. I finished the Knoxville Half Marathon and am now just trying to maintain my fitness and slowly build up so I can see progress over the next couple weeks/months.
My next race is the Tinker Bell Half Marathon on May 8th. I am running this race to receive my Coast to Coast Challenge medal. I haven’t really identified which of my upcoming races will be goal races, but nonetheless I am still training.
After the Knoxville race I wanted to rest and take it easy the first couple days after the race. Those hills did a number on me. We also spent this past weekend in Walt Disney World so I knew I wanted to get in some quality workouts before we left on Friday. There wasn’t much running at all, but that was alright. I used the week to focus on strength and gave my legs some rest. There was a lot of walking around Disney so that was some extra cross training.
Here’s how last week ended up shaking out…
Monday: REST + dog walk
Tuesday: barre DVD + Blogilates turbo arms and legs + Tone It Up love your abs workout
Wednesday: 3 easy miles + Tone It Up Beach yoga
Thursday: Tone It Up band workout, malibooty workout and best butt workout
Friday: Disney World – walked 8.5 miles
Saturday: Disney World – walked 8.5 miles
Sunday: traveled home from Disney World
Total: 3 miles :/
How do you manage training while you travel?
