Since I’m runDisney obsessed I thought it would be fun to share all the Disney races that I’ve done this year. There is so much to love on this list and there are so many reasons to runDisney, but here are my experiences this year. If you are curious about the differences between a Walt Disney World and Disneyland event, be sure to check out this post!
January: Walt Disney World Marathon
This race was challenging and difficult, but so rewarding. My training fell off over the holidays and I paid for it on race day, but I finished this marathon. I was determined to finish, stuck to my race day strategy and got through with a boost of pixie dust.
February: Glass Slipper Challenge
This race weekend was a girls race weekend with my mom and sister. We had a blast and are making this a tradition. I can hardly wait for the 2016 edition!
Enchanted 10k Race Recap We really enjoyed the course that runs around Epcot. It was so much because none of us had done a race shorter than a half marathon. There were also so many characters out.
Princess Half Marathon Race Recap This is one of my favorite Disney events. I even ran it in 2015! The energy of the course, the spectators and the music that plays when you run through the castle make this a must do event.
May: Tinker Bell Half Marathon
This was my first runDisney event at Disneyland and it’s safe to say it was a hit. Not only did I run a sweet time, but we had so much fun at Disneyland!
If you were raised on Disney movies and love the parks I really encourage you to add a Disney race to your calendar. They are constantly making improvements and improving the race day experience for runners and spectators alike.
In a short while I will be putting myself through the ultimate runDisney Challenge. I’m running the Dopey Challenge in January and so stoked! If you aren’t familiar with the Dopey Challenge here’s the breakdown. You run the 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon on back to back mornings.
Have you ever run a Disney race? What’s your favorite?
Would you ever consider a race challenge?
