If you are familiar with Disney races then you know that the Enchanted 10k is part of Princess Half Marathon race weekend. It takes place the day before the half marathon and is the first leg of the Glass Slipper Challenge. My mom, sister and I have a blast every year at this Disney event.
Be sure to check out my Princess 5k Race Recap!
Like most Disney races we were up early around 3am and ready to race at 5:30am 🙂
For the most part the miles clicked off pretty fast even though the weather was so humid. My sister and I joked that we looked like ketchup and mustard in our Tweedle costumes. Haha! Also, how cute is my mom’s crown?!
The 10k course is one of my favorites because it winds around Epcot’s world showcase and the Boardwalk resorts. I always look forward to watching the sun come up over the lakes.
We even ran into Princess Minnie before the last mile. How cute is she?!
After spending a moment with Minnie, we finished the last mile and earned some more bling.
I can’t get enough of these finish line photos! The Disney photographers always amaze me, but these shots were so wonderful. We had an absolute blast during this race.
After the race we went back to the hotel for quick showers then spent most of the day at Animal Kingdom.
We had so much fun in Animal Kingdom. We rode the Safari, enjoyed the gorilla exhibit, saw the Bug’s Life and Lion King shows, rode Dinosaur and enjoyed our day together.
Per usual we had an early dinner, like 4pm early at Longhorn Steakhouse. I had the yummiest salad, loaded potato and the Napa grilled chicken.
Once we got back to the hotel I got my gear ready for the half marathon, did some yoga and crashed.
