Back in July the Mr. and I travelled to San Fran for the San Francisco Half Marathon. I just realized I never shared any pictures from our day of hiking around the Marin Headlands. There is so much to love about this place!
If you aren’t very familiar with the Bay Area, the Headlands are basically just a hilly area north of San Francisco. You can cross the Golden Gate Bridge to get there. The coast is everywhere you turn, there are lush forests and lots of enchanting fog.
We did a little hiking around Mount Tamalpais State Park and here are some of the pictures. If you look close you can see the ocean in the background.
Do you see me? Look at that beautiful fog!
Naturally we stopped for a lunch break and ate delicious cheeseburgers and garlic fries.
We also did a little exploring around Muir Beach and Stinson Beach. NorCal is gorgeous! I love how the beaches are situated among hills, rocks and cliffs. It reminds me of the Oregon Coast.
The day was full of beautiful fog, sunshine, killer views and wonderful memories.
After a fabulous day we walked around the Pier and drank watermelon margaritas.
Have you ever been to the Marin Headlands?
