Don’t forget to check out my other recaps: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 🙂
The last full day of our trip started with the Vancouver USA Half Marathon. You can read the full race recap here.
After the race we indulged in some delicious Mexican food then it was off to explore Mt. Hood. It was already late in the afternoon, but nothing was going to keep us away from the mountain.
We found a scenic byway and stumbled upon this great view after we made a wrong turn.
The entire area surrounding Mt. Hood was pure magic. Everything was green and lush and perfect. I had hoped that we would have been able to hike around on some of the trails, but we were tired from the morning’s race and it was already late in the afternoon.
We ended up just being able to see the mountain itself and that was fine by me. The pictures don’t capture the scale of this big guy. Mt. Hood is huge!
Per usual there were lots of fun pictures to be taken and we stood googly eyed for what felt like forever.
The next morning we packed up all of our things and headed downstairs for a hotel breakfast. Just like that it was over, we were on our plane and I was already missing the mountains and pines.
