Don’t worry this is just a little peak at the recap! The full thing will be coming your way next week once I have a little more time to gather my thoughts.
I am still in shock that I ran the New York City Marathon. The experience still seems so surreal. This race is unlike any other race I have ever done. I can’t imagine my life without this experience. Yes, it was that profound.
Looking back my C Goal should have been my A Goal. Here were my goals going into the race. I quickly adjusted my expectations and truly lived in the moment. I can’t really explain it now, but I hope to next week with the full recap.
This race made me feel so special, like I was the only one running it. I’ve never felt like that before. I am so grateful to this experience and don’t know how anything else could ever compare to this.
Here’s a picture from around mile 18 that the Mr. captured of my sister and I. I also cried when I saw the finish line and while I was crossing it.
This race ended up being more to me than I ever thought one single experience could be.
Stay tuned next week to see how the whole thing unfolded for me!
Today, I’m linking up with Amanda at Running with Spoons for Thinking Out Loud.
