We ate so many delicious dishes and snacks on our vacation that I thought it would be so much easier to give them their own post. We didn’t do the fine dining thing, but who cares?! We had so many tasty treats. I tried to get a couple pictures at each place. Get ready to want to book a flight to Las Vegas! …pack your fork.
Carrot Cake Sundae from Serendipity 3. Don’t worry we went back from Frozen Hot Chocolate and a Fried Oreo Sundae before we left too.
These were some seriously delicious potato rajas and the cranberry margarita was incredible. Border Grill definitely delivers modern Mexican food. I also loved that their menu noted items as 80/20 meaning that 80% of the dish is plant based.
This may not look like much, but this griddled pimento cheese sandwich is the epitome of late night eats. The spicy pimento cheese from Bobby’s Burger Palace was the perfect balance without having too much mayo. The fries were perfect too! There was a wide variety of options and sauces. The chipotle ketchup was one of our favorites.
These pancakes from The Griddle Café were worth the 2 mile walk down the Strip to the SLS Las Vegas. The pictures don’t do them justice. The pancakes were larger than the largest serving plate I have ever seen. I ordered the Hear Me Roar pancakes that had strawberries and frosted flakes cereal in them. You can see I wasn’t able to make a huge dent in them, but they were the best pancakes ever. Light, fluffy and so sweet you would never need syrup.
These were the perfect afternoon sweet treat! I ordered the raspberry pistachio éclair and the Mr. got a chocolate berry dessert. Payard Patisserie delivers style and taste on all fronts!
We had a killer brunch at Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen and Bar. This egg burrito and Bloody Mary were straight from Flavortown. We loved it!!!
These cupcakes from Sprinkles were probably the best I have ever had. The crumble and moistness of these cupcakes was amazing. We ordered a couple so we could try a variety. We ordered gingerbread, strawberry, chocolate peppermint and chocolate marshmallow.
We spent Christmas brunch at Zeffirino in the Venetian. It was a brunch buffet with a pretty decent selection. They had a lot of meat entrees and little of anything else so I had quite my share of salad and mimosa. I also really enjoyed the dessert selection. That little chocolate cup had salted caramel mousse in it…perfection.
Hash House A Go Go has it going on, ya’ll! Feast your eyes on the mother of all breakfasts. That’s griddled mashed potatoes topped with a split biscuit, fresh spinach and tomato, fried eggs and a roasted red pepper cream sauce. Holy cow! This place does breakfast, Midwest style. They also have locations in Orlando and Chicago. The Mr. wants to go to both of them before the year is up…
We spent our last meal in Vegas at Yard House. The Mr. ordered the miso sea bass and I had the Gardein mac and cheese with wild mushrooms and truffle oil. The Gardein “chicken” was so good that I had to verify it wasn’t the real deal. The meal was rich and comforting on the last cool night on the Strip.
We rounded the night off with a glass of bubbly okay maybe a couple. Our trip to Las Vegas was incredible and so much fun. From the shopping to the eating we had a blast!
