I’m just reflecting on my whirlwind weekend and Thinking Out Loud about all my birthday festivities from last week. I had the best time and it was just what I needed. I was reminded about how much joy my favorite people bring to my life and how much I truly need them!
I don’t know if I believe in soul mates, but if there is such a thing my sister, Blaine is mine. She gets me better than anyone else has or will. Blaine came to visit for the weekend so naturally the Mr. and I planned fun activities.
She arrived from Tennessee late Friday night so the fun started Saturday morning.
I got a run in then it was off we went. We all decided to check out Sublime Doughnuts.
WHOA! That pretty much sums it up.
None of us had hiked Kennesaw Mountain so we decided to spend the day on the trail.
After #allthedoughnuts we hiked. It was so fun! We hiked about 6 miles and had a blast.
I packed a picnic lunch for all of us and it was perfect. Pasta salad, watermelon and green juice for the win.
We were wore out from our morning so we headed home for a little rest before dinner at the Atlanta Fish Market.
Dinner was incredible.
Ya’ll know I don’t eat fish, BUT I did order a steak for the first time in like forever. Their food is so delicious and the atmosphere is great! I brought some steak, broccoli and half of my baked potato home.
Sunday was all about shopping.
I wasn’t looking for very many items, but I did need to pick up a throw away flannel shirt for an upcoming race. I bought a new pair of black flats for work and a stunning red lipstick from Kat Von D too.
We also met the Mr. for lunch at Cheesecake Factory and split two sandwiches. The portion was huge so I definitely brought some home. I love leftover restaurant food!
Blaine and my mom went way overboard on my birthday gifts. Here is some of my haul plus the items I bought on our shopping trip. They know me well. I’m obsessed with active wear, makeup and nice things.
How did you spend your weekend?
