Last weekend the Mr. and I headed to Disney for a little fun. We are pass holders and decided that it would be fun to drive to Disney for a long weekend. Today’s Friday Five is all about the Mouse.
Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom
We’ve done Disney numerous times, but neither of us had done Tom Sawyer Island in Magic Kingdom in forever. I think I forgot how adorable the set up is.
The Eats + All The Coffee
Naturally we ate a lot of food because…vacation. This pot roast mac and cheese from Friar Nook’s was out of this world. There were also a lot of Disney edition Starbucks cups consumed. I am obsessed with the green tea frappe. It made for the perfect afternoon pick me up. Yum!
Flower and Garden Festival
The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival was so much fun! Everything was just as beautiful as I thought it would be. There were also little kiosks set up similar to the Food and Wine Festival which made everything like a whole experience. We had beer flights, watermelon salad, lots of champagne cocktails, jerk chicken, macarons and more! We would visit a kiosks share something then eat our way around the world.
As part of the Flower and Garden Festival there was a butterfly exhibit at Epcot. It was magical. We walked in and were immediately able to see butterflies everywhere. They were stunning and it was so cool to be able to see them up close. People even had them land on their clothes and stuff.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of our faves. I love all the nature and all the countries within the park. We had so much fun walking around and riding all the rides.
Disney World never disappoints and each time there is always something new to explore. We did a lot of attractions on the trip that we don’t often get to and it was so much fun. I’m so happy we decided to get away and spend a couple days at the Happiest Place on Earth.
What’s your favorite Disney attraction?
Have you ever been to one of Epcot’s Festivals?
