Happy Friday Five, ya’ll! This Friday is all about stocking stuffers for the runner on your list. These gifts also work great for Secret Santa gifts for your running club. Did you know that you can use Elfster to do the whole thing for you?! How cool is that?! Stocking stuffer gifts are great because they are inexpensive, small and fun to give or receive. If someone gives you a small gift and you haven’t bought anything for them then no big deal and vice versa. These are also great for people that you may not know too well.
FUEL. As a runner we get pumped about the stuff. Everyone has their favorite kind, but it’s so much fun to try new kinds too. Everything from gels, waffles, blocks and anything in between will do. You can pick these up at any running or sports store and most cost around $1. Pick up a couple of them, throw them in a fun holiday bag and you have the perfect gift. Some of my favorites are: Clif Shot Bloks in margarita, Huma gel in Mocha and Honeystinger Waffle in Vanilla.
HEADWEAR. Everything from headbands to hats or beanies are perfect for stocking stuffing. As a hat wearer I love getting new ones and often it’s something I love, but don’t want to spend money on so receiving one as a gift is great. Right now I love this North Face trucker hat! It’s actually on my Christmas list. Headbands are fun too because a girl can never have too many. My favorites are Sweaty Bands because they come in all sorts of designs and don’t move when you wear them.
MAGAZINES. These are a must have for a runner at any experience level. You can opt to give a whole subscription or just an issue. Magazines are perfect for tapering or post long run. I really enjoy my subscriptions to Runner’s World and Women’s Running because they are great resources for everything running related.
PAMPER. Runners are some of the busiest people you will ever meet. We are constantly juggling our real life with our running life which can often mean there is so self spoilage time. Giving someone some scented Epsom salt or bath bombs for a hot bath, new nail polish or a face mask is a great way to ensure that the runner in your life takes some time for themselves. You could also think about giving someone a pair of thick cozy socks and a foot scrub. I love Dr. Teal’s lavender Epsom salt and Lush bath bombs for soaking and the below face scrub for pampering. Mix up a jar of it and tie a big ribbon around the top.
2 parts ground coffee
1 part extra virgin coconut oil
1 part sugar
Mix and apply to dry face. Let sit for up to 30 minutes and rinse clean. Store in a dry dark place.
SOCKS. Runners can never have too many socks. Compression socks can be pricey, but I think everyone can appreciate these Stance socks. They are gorgeous and super functional. I would personally be over the moon for a jumbo pack of socks from TJMAXX but that’s me.
Whether you are shopping for a loved one or stranger, you can never go wrong with giving something as long as your heart is it in.
