It’s hard to believe that the first month of the new year is over and it’s February! I have some blogging and running goals for the year, but I’ve found over the years that I work best with smaller monthly goals. Everything ultimately helps me hit those yearly goals, but it’s much more manageable in chunks. Let’s get to it…
Health & Fitness
Track my macros. I need to be more aware of what I’m eating, because I feel so much better when I am macro counting. My thyroid is so fussy and I can certainly tell when I’m not eating a balanced diet.
Keep up my strength/weight training routine. I have been bossing up on my barbell and kettle bell and I want to keep that momentum. I feel so much more confident and strong when I’m lifting weights and I want to be ready to do work in preparation for the Edinburgh Marathon.
30 Days of Yoga. I had plans to start this in March, but after doing 3 days of yoga in a row I decided to keep on going. I started this January 30th so I will get a full 30 days in by the end of the month. I’m doing 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene via Youtube.
Write out my Marathon Training plan for Edinburgh. Right now I have everything mapped out through the end of this month, but I want to get the rest down. I’m using this month as a way to evaluate where I am and what I can handle in the coming months.
Read before bed. This may sound like something easy, but it’s challenging to me. I want to get better about winding down earlier and reading just enriches your life.
Have more fun. I want to enjoy lower mileage, hang out with girlfriends, and have a blast at WDW for Princess Race Weekend.
Stay on Budget. The Mr. and I have let budgeting lack and I regret it so much. We have home renovations to save for and trips to take this year. It’s time to get serious with the monies!
