Essential oils have been all the craze for the last little while and I feel like every time I turn around someone else I know if hoping on the bandwagon. About a month ago I became one of those people. I decided that I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and get on the aroma therapy trend. There are so many companies like Young Living and doterra offering packages of oils and diffusers, but I knew I wasn’t ready for that type of commitment just yet. I talked briefly about aroma therapy here a little bit ago.
One of my goals for this year has been to manage my stress better and work on detoxifying my body from unnecessary stress as best as I can. I like burning candles for the smell, but the aroma therapy from these oils have helped even more. I don’t know how to explain it but the smells and atmosphere of our home have greatly improved since we started using essential oils in a diffuser.
Not only do we sleep so much better, but we also feel more at ease in our home. I really enjoy mixing the scents and so far have a couple favorite combinations. I am anxious to see how other more specialty blends affect our allergies and prevent sickness. It is very interesting to read about the benefits of essential oils. While it is nice to apply the oils directly to your skin, I have found it is really practical having them diffused into the air.
If you are curious about essential oils or are contemplating a diffuser, you should just try it out. For about $30 you can get everything you need to get started.
