Hi ya’ll! Over the coming weeks and months I will be sharing my training schedule and progress for the Edinburgh Marathon. I always enjoy reading about what others are doing to prepare for a goal race and I’ve found that by sharing my training plan it helps me stay accountable.
Even though the race isn’t until the end of May, my body responds best to a gradual mileage build and I have a couple half marathons between now and then. I took a little break after the Dopey Challenge and am now back to a more solid schedule.
This week was all about the runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend with my mom and sister. We had an amazing time and I will be recapping each day and race very soon!
I focused on resting up for the weekend ahead and maintained my yoga practice. By the time you read this I will have completed my 30 day yoga challenge 🙂
Here’s what last week looked like for me:
Day 22 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene
Since I was off work for President’s Day, I spent most of the day cleaning, decluttering and packing for my upcoming trip. I was so tired at the end of the day and felt like I got a serious workout.
Day 23 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene + 20 minutes of running on the treadmill to stay loose
Day 24 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene
Day 25 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene
Met up with my mom and sister to kick off our girls weekend! Woohoo!
Day 26 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene
Day 27 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene
runDisney: Enchanted 10k
Day 28 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene
runDisney: Princess Half Marathon
Total Miles: 24 ish miles
Not only was our trip to Walt Disney World a complete and total blast, but it was just what I needed to bump up my weekly mileage.
I’m linking up with Courtney over at Eat Pray Run DC. Be sure to check out everyone’s training recap!
