Happy Friday everyone! Today I thought I’d share 5 things I’m currently loving.
I’m currently obsessing over the Great British Baking Show on Netflix. I can’t get enough and am sad to say that I don’t have many episodes left. It’s so interesting how different the cuisine is and it’s so cool to see what the home bakers come up with. I love it and I really enjoy that it’s light hearted and fun unlike a lot of American shows where everyone takes themselves too seriously.
This BB Cream is everything! I love makeup and am a full coverage type of gal, but during the warmer months I like to wear a BB cream instead of my go to foundation. I’ve tried a couple ones from the drugstore with little success, but this one is perfect. The coverage is great, but still so light on the skin. I love the finish because it’s not orange at all and dries down matte. I love being able to order Korean beauty products on Amazon.
I feel like an old lady saying this, but I love this hand cream. I bought it on Amazon with intentions to take it to work and keep it there, but I can’t stop using it at home. Now I think I need another tube. Ugh! Not only does it smell like lemon meringue pie, but because it’s made with natural ingredients it absorbs into the skin so nicely. I am picky when it comes to lotions because I can’t stand oily, but this is like velvet for your hands.
BCAAs and Glutamine supplements have totally changed the game for me on muscle recovery. I’ve been weight lifting and strength training so much more this marathon training cycle and was struggling to recover. There isn’t much talk about these in endurance training, but my sister is a weight lifter and got me on them. There are loads of different companies producing BCAAs (Branch Chained Amino Acids) with all kinds of colors and sweeteners, but I use these.
Since they are raw I mix them with a little juice and water or Nuun during a hard effort or weight lifting session. I can tell a difference the day after a tough training session and I seem to have more energy during as well. They may not help everyone, but they seem to be helping me.

I’ve done this workout twice and it’s killed me both times. Whoa! The last time I did it I added another 10 minutes before the cool down. It’s the perfect mix of tempo run and kettle bell pump. I haven’t worked up to my big daddy kettle bell (25lbs) just yet, but even with 20lbs this is a doozy. It’s great because your body is so tired from the tempo pace, but then gets even more tired from the kettle bell work.
There are so many things to love this month, like Spring and day light savings time, but these are my favorites.
