We leave for Chicago today. I can’t believe in a few short days I will be running the first of many Marathon Majors. I am leaving work around 1pm then it’s straight home and then the airport for our afternoon flight.
reviewing the weather and it is going to be warmer than I originally thought. I am even packing shorts. I’m a bit bummed because I thought it was going to be in the 50s.
On the last 19 miler of this training cycle I was struggling to fuel for my run properly. I’m sitting down to map out fueling plan based on the water stops on the course. I usually carry my hydration belt, but I am opting to leave it at home and rely on the water on the course.
Before every race I paint my nails. It’s just want I do and is part of my pre-race routine. Do you do something before every race?
I have decided I want to write a mantra on my left arm for the marathon so every time I look down at my watch I am forced to read something positive.
I can tell I’ve been busy because I got this text message from my sister yesterday. I can’t wait to share this experience with all of you.
I am linking up with Amanda over at Running with Spoons for Thinking Out Loud.
