This month I’m not setting too many goals. The Mr. and I have so much going on so I want to set myself up for success. We are traveling to Dallas this weekend then visiting Oregon at the very end of the month on top of everything else.
I’ve been eating mostly paleo in order to stay in the parameters of a detox diet (more about this later) I’m working through and I want to keep it up. I’m starting to see results and it pay off in the long run. I know it will be challenging especially with traveling a bit, but I want to stick to it as much as possible. I don’t anticipate being able to stick to it 100%, but I want to do my very best.
Back in February, I completed a 30 Day Yoga Challenge and I want to do another one. My body really responded to doing yoga everyday and it was so good for my mental health. I’m excited to try it again and I’m hoping it will help my body get stronger for a couple fall half marathons I have on the horizon. Last time I followed a specific schedule, but this time I just want to do whatever feels right for the day.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in running here and there and putting yourself last. This month I really want to put time into self care practices so I can take care of myself a little better. Self care for me usually means treating myself to a warm bath, bedtime yoga, getting enough rest, a face mask or doing my nails.
