Also, you’ll see I mention a lot of Oiselle products. While I am a Oiselle Volee member, this is not a sponsored post. I just genuinely love their items.
I love these Lesley Tights and these Moto Lesley Tights from Oiselle. I wear them everywhere including Pikes Peak. The material is weighty and the moto ones are fleece lined. These Under Armor ones are fabulous too. You will definitely see a difference between regular long leggings and insulated ones. They are warm enough, but not so insulated that you will be too hot.
It’s no secret that I love Injinis for racing and really long runs, but during the winter months I wear a lot of Stance socks. They are thick, very supportive and can be pulled up over leggings for additional warmth. I like the socks in their run line, but the athletic ones are warmer and just as great for running.
This is a must. Sometimes it’s more comfortable on milder days to run in shorts with gloves than to wear long pants and when it gets really cold I can’t leave home without them.
Imagine the most perfect weight sweater that you can run in. That’s what this long sleeve from Oiselle is like. The best part is that it’s cute enough to wear around, but has thumbholes and is so functional for running.
I love this Asics Storm Shelter jacket! I have a bright pink one and bought another one as part of the New York City Marathon merchandise. It has all sorts of pockets, blocks wind and rain, has a detachable hood and thumbholes and is so breathable. It’s a great shell when you are layering items under it to stay cozy.
Winter running can be less than ideal, but it doesn’t have to be miserable. I think if you have the right gear it can be more enjoyable and even fun 🙂
What are some of your favorite winter running items?
