I’m not one to really believe in New Year Resolutions, but I do think it is a great time to reflect on the past and self evaluate. People often get so wrapped up in setting goals, but don’t focus enough on making them happen. I want to be a do-er not just a say-er.
When I started this blog I didn’t view it as a business and I really wish I would have back then. While I really just blog for fun, I would love to turn it into a little bit more without working myself to death. Instead of setting some outlandish goals for myself, I’m going to reel that in to just a couple.
2017 Blogging Goals
- Maintain an Editorial Calendar: This has changed my world. If you are a blogger and aren’t maintaining an editorial calendar then you should be. Not only does it keep me on task, but it also helps my mental clarity because I can easily see where things are in the process, when things need to get drafted, etc.
- Grow Instagram: Since this is the social media age, all social platforms relate to each other. I would like to post to Instagram more regularly (5-6 days a week) and grow my followers. I don’t want to set an arbitrary number that I want to attain, but I want to do better.
- Utilize HootSuite more: Right now I am just using Hootsuite for current posts, but I would like to better about scheduling older content and sharing content my followers would appreciate.
I can think of a couple others that I would like to include, but think that the above are most important. Like I mentioned earlier, I don’t want to work myself to death or stress about this blog so I’m going to keep my list short.
